Ganzo G628 – compact and reliable folding knife for everyday carry (EDC)

Unusual design is the first thing that catches the eye when looking at the Ganzo G628 knife. The folding blade features a black coating that matches the handle color, giving the tool a rugged and bold appearance. At the same time, the knife remains highly practical thanks to its sharp blade and functional additions such as a rescue cutter and glass breaker integrated into the handle, making it an ideal companion for travel.

The blade is 89 mm long and features a Drop-Point profile, widely used due to its versatility across a variety of cutting tasks.

The blade is made from 440-series steel, known for its long edge retention and excellent cutting performance. This steel also offers good corrosion resistance; however, prolonged exposure to moisture and salty environments should be avoided. Proper maintenance is therefore essential to prevent corrosion spots.

The knife can be opened in two ways: using the flipper or the thumb stud located on the left side of the blade. When opened, the blade is securely locked by a steel Liner-Lock mechanism, preventing accidental closure.

For heavy-duty tasks, the user can place their thumb on the raised thumb rest located on the 2.7 mm thick blade. This improves comfort and provides better control during demanding work.

The handle features an ergonomic, curved shape with a shallow index finger groove that prevents the hand from slipping toward the blade. The main handle material is polypropylene (PP), with selected elements made of aluminum.

The Ganzo G628 weighs 138 g including the pocket clip, which has an unusual central placement and is fixed in a single position.
