The blade of this knife is made of the popular 440C cutlery steel. This is a stainless steel with a high enough hardness to keep the knife sharp for a long time. It is also easy to machine, so you can resharpen the blade in the field with a small pocket sharpener. The length of the knife (specifically the metal part) is 8.7 cm. The blade has a flat cut and is finished with a sharp point, making it ideal for standard cooking tasks, although it can be used in many other situations. The blade thickness of this knife is 3.3mm, making it perfect for rough jobs that require strength. The blade has a satin finish so it won't shine in the sun.
The blade of the knife opens with a pin. It is held in the working position by a high-quality Axis-Lock.
The handle of the Firebird FB7601 is made of G10 material. This lightweight composite material is characterised above all by its durability. In addition, it is non-absorbent, does not fade in the sun and is overall very durable. It is a good choice for a camping knife. The handle is non-slip thanks to the knurling of a fine geometric pattern on the surface of the G10. There is also a clip that allows the knife to be hung.
